if you want to get RPN license, you need to finish 4 year degree program （本科）. Some students graduate from two year PN program would like to transfer to RPN program, they can enter the "Diploma Registered Practical Nurse to B.Sc.N. (McMaster)", and study 3 more years to get a 本科 degree in nursing, which is required by RPN license.

so it is depend on which nurse do you want to be -- PN or RPN, if you want to be PN, you only need to study for 2 years, if you want to become RPN, you need to study 4 year, these are two different programs. Conestoga has both program, and the 4 year RPN program is cooperated with McMaster university, once you graduate you get a degree diploma from McMaster university (not Conestoga College).

The worsest thing is to study for PN first then change your mind, want to transfer to RPN program, it will cost you 5 years in total to finish your RPN study, you waster one year in study. If you decide to become a RPN, enter the 4 year RPN program from the beginning.
